I've been quite sick as of late, and it's been difficult to function both physically and mentally. Well at least as respectable, and worthwhile human being...but I'll spare you from hearing that nonsense. Sometime last week developed pneumonia (or so we think, and lets just hope), which has knocked me on my ass. Anways, enough whining about that for now, because g-d only knows I probably do enough of that to last me a life time these days.
As for UCLA, I spoke with the doctor there, and he said they are planning on keeping me for 4 months!!! *bangs head on wall* holy fucking shit!! that is beyond insane! besides the fact that insurance is only covering 30 days, and anything there after is roughly $1000 a day. Wouldn't it just be cheaper to get hit by a semi? Perhaps not.
Really, I must say that information should not have been relayed to me while I was driving on the express way.
I am seriously freaking out. I love the situations I get myself into. I should have fixed this while I still could.
Ok, enough of me acting like a two-year old.

Well, you can't stay there for four months can you...
that's...$90,000!!! Including what insurance would pay. NO WAY can you afford that, right? HOLY SMOKES.(((((FEEL BETTER NIC!!!)))))

Re: Well, you can't stay there for four months can you...
Thanks hun!!They must work something out. I know that people have had to stay longer than 30 days at UCLA, and I'm sure their insurance didn't cover it fully. eek!

Try not to think about it though....just go in there and work the program as best as you can, no matter how long you'll be there.
::hugs::

NIc, I was at Rodgers 6 mo. NEVER DID I EVER think I could make it that long (you know how I am), but it was the best thing that ever happened to me.FINALLY the people who were handling my health kept me long enough. Unlike when we were released still with the same mindset and at a point where we needed just a bit more support. Insurance tole me they wouldn't pay at all~ FIGHT THEM get a case worker, thats what I did... They actually do help if you write letters to the right people and get someone to fight with you. Its cheaper then the alternative! Although they may not let all of your treatment be at UCLA. I dunno~ Just a thought?!?
